Drags on a bit, but worthwhile for a one-time watch.
great movie great cast great every thing i love this movie 9/10.
"In my dreams your blowin me......some kisses" Lines like this made me laugh out loud. On the other hand the majority of the jokes are at a Wayans brothers level of corny. This is a movie that can deliver some laughs at if your drunk with friends, or if its playing in the background while your doing something else. But it not the kinda of movie you would want to spend money to see. On the bright side I never noticed how hot Jenna Fisher was before seeing this film.
Well first of all, its just not very funny. Its absurd which is fine, but it needs to be absurd and funny. Secondly, I think a lot of people will find it a bit upsetting that they so blatantly make fun of the troubling events of one man in particulars life. Movies like this generally make fun of several different conventions rather than one persons real life struggles for its entirety. This movie is of course, making fun of Johnny Cash, but not just a few aspects of his life, but rather every bit of it, which might be going just a bit to far. But I guess the argument could be made that its making fun of the movie rather than of Johnny Cash himself.
I don't think I can ever watch a new musical biopic after watching Walk Hard.
With very funny scenes and surprisingly good music, Walk Hard turns out to be better than one would think.
What could you NOT love about this film??? Hilarious, great music. The perfect satire. AND full frontal nudity.
Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story: 7.3/10
Big Judd Apatow fan. Knocked Up and Superbad, some of my favorites. This one, the trailer was better. But that's Judd Apatow. when you see the previews for his movies, it looks like they'll be the funniest thing in the world, and then you get somthing that's good, but should have lived up to it's expectations. Funny People for example, looked great. Now, doesn't sound to great. I'd still see it, but I have a feeling I'll be dissapointed. Back to this, it is funny. Tim Meadows was hysterical, it's got suprisingly fitting music, and covers everything in the movie it's parodying, Walk The Line. This isn't bad, but it's not getting any better.
Probably the best spoof movies I ever seen. I actually just bought the soundtrack on itunes because the songs are actually catchy. My personal favorite John C. Riley Movie.
The is the worst movie I've seen in a long time. It is the definition of 'freakin' stupid'.
