Hmm, I'd say the first was a bit better but that's just me. It was very interesting to watch I must say. The creatures in this never fail to amuse me.
Massive fan of the games, and it's almost criminal how much the two films pathetically fail to do them justice.
if you loved the game you shall love this movie no matter what 9/10 now we just need a new final fantasy movie and a g gundom movie done the right way!
The town of Silent Hill and all its glory and horror is faithfully recreated here. The acting may be a bit iffy in places but I can live with that. Adelaide Clemens gives a good performance as Heather/Alessa .. not enough Carrie Ann Moss though !
I give it 7.5/10
Ok, so, I didn't need to sleep tonight anyways. I thought this was a very good take on the Silent Hill franchise.... Awesome!
I enjoyed the first Silent Hill, this one was OK! A bit cheesy & it seemed kinda roughly put together! I'd say 6.5 outta 10 (^_^)
Def. felt like the video game it was created from. And like Resident Evil, the creatures and prostetics blow all other movies away as far as originality goes. Love the psycho nurses. An OK watch if not for the visuals alone.
Very bad acting.
This film caters to a VERY small group of people. To the others who know nothing about the franchise...this isn't going to make much sense. It's filled with cliche's, predictable plot points, and there is completely random nonsense just thrown in there for seemingly no reason leaving you thinking, "uhh-WHAT?". I wouldn't recommend this to any but fans of the Silent Hill series.
The one thing I will say about the movie, is, I'm not sure why some critics & others that have seen it call it "confusing." The plot was really simple to follow, even though I haven't seen the 1st one
