Nice action flick, Mark Wahlberg fills this role pretty nicely.
One of my personal favorite action films. Wahlberg does a really good job and I love sniper movies. Great story at just the right pace. Solid all the way through and great ending. 9/10
I liked this movie. Good overcomes evil. Totally watchable. I have to say, though, that I am sick of Ned Beatty playing these contrived, one-dimensional bad guys. He used to be a good actor. Would someone please write a script for him? thanks.
@sjevers That's exactly why I'm here :)
POETIC RETRIBUTION...mess wi' mah horse 'r mah dog, if ya wanna see a man get mean...ByteMyAss can PUT 'em up good as any an' better'n most.

one of my all time favorites from Mark Wahlberg...Love this movie!

Shooter is an intelligent action filled movie thats eerily similar to the Bourne films.
Shooter flows well, and is exciting. The end was unclear as to his final status, and they could have explained it better. Why the hell would you burn the evidence and then be in an orange jumper...and then be free???

Shooter is a movie that tries to be seperate from other action-thrillers by adding politics into the plot. The politics take away from the action making it a very boring, unenjoyable movoie that does not make any sense. It also has several holes in the plot that are never filled. Shooter is just another average action-thriller that will get mixed in with the rest of them.
High-octane action and a solid performance from Wahlberg ensures that the film runs reasonnably smoothly. However, the film doesn't manage to distinguish itself from other action-thrillers. Also, the numerous plot flaws and lack of consistent thrills may just mean that the audience aren't entertained throughout the entire 121 mins. The film does become slightly monotonous towards the end.
