Rudy gets 10 out of 10
Tonight I watched Rudy. This was a movie I saw when I was a kid and remembered liking, but it's been so long since I saw it. So I decided to watch it again and see how I feel about it now. Not only do I think it's still a fantastic movie, I think it's the best sports film I have ever seen. I can relate to this story so much because it's about a guy who's small in stature, has dreams that everybody tells him he cannot do, and he proves everybody wrong. I'm also a pretty short guy, and I've been through the same situations, and this film just makes me feel good when I watch it. Knowing it's a true story also, it makes me feel good about myself.

The movie has a great performance by the underrated Sean Astin, and the story just simply unfolds perfectly in it's 120min running time. This is one of those films that works so well with the humor, the emotion, and the power it tries to put on screen. I love this film, and seeing it again has made me add this to my top ten list. This is easily the best sports film I have seen. The only thing that has came close was Friday Night Lights, and it's still not as good as Rudy. Many people may disagree with me, but this film hits me more than it would most. Thats why I love it so much.

i'm starting to wonder if it's sean astin that i love and not the movies..... okay this is the 4th movie on my list staring mr. astin, and again, I LOVED it. i liked it because it was one of those feel good movies that just made you cry and laugh during the course of the show. a definite must-see!!!!
Rudy: 10/10

I am the proud owner of the Black & Decker "Crushmaster" blender:

It looks something like that.

It has 12 speeds and an Ice-crushing button. I've never owned a blender before, shocking as that may seem. I'm now addicted to smoothies. Mmm.... So far I've made concoctions with yoghurt, banana, strawberries and juice.

Give me your recipes for blender drinks: alcoholic, healthy, whatever. I will save them all and try some of them out.

We watched "Rudy" last night - I bawled my eyes out. There's something about inspiring movies that Anyway, it's inspiring and would be a good movie for kids to see to get that whole "go for your dreams" thing.

I like that the word "inspire" means "to breathe in".

I also bought the "Magnolia" soundtrack as part of my new-found obsession with Aimee Mann. I haven't listened to it yet, but plan to have it on heavy Walkman rotation this week.

Oh, and there's another private entry before this one.

Rudy was really good. It made you feel good too. I think it is probably the best sports movie ive ever seen. Really good acting by everyone. I sort of thought it was like Million Dollar Baby, because he was really determined and so wwas she, the janitor really liked both of them, and the coach was hesitant about using both of them. Anyways, AWESOME football movie
A Great Football Winner
So I got Rudy as a Christmas present and not knowing anything about it I decided to watch it. I have to say that that is one of the most inspirational movies I have ever seen and easily the best sports movie I have ever seen (I haven't seen Hoosiers). The ending is incredible...awesome...amazing...wonderful...and just plain GREAT! It is touching in everyway. Great Plot. Great Acting (Sean Astin was superb!) and just a Great Story. I loved every minute of the movie and must say that it is now one of my favorite movies ever! It is a Must-See for anyone: 9/10!!!
