Hello fellow Solarians,
I felt its needed to do a blog so that everyone can read and know what is going on. As you all know, for a few months there had been issues with imarobot randomly muting users for no reason. We had found that randomly chosen (some more than others) who comment/reply with 200+ characters got muted. It took admins time but they found the root to the problem.
This will be rectified at the end of the week if not a bit later.
So for those that have stopped commenting because your afraid to get muted by imarobot need not worry. You will be able to comment till your hearts content. Sooner than never right?
Lately Solarmovie has been plagued by the epidemic of people spoiling episodes / movies on the review comment page and I feel this needs to be addressed, please be aware that this is against the [https://www.solarmovie.is/rule...] and such activity will warrant a mute / ban depending on the severity of the spoiler! It does not matter even if you place SPOILER at the top of your review to warn people, it is forbidden and against the rules. A warning will only be Issued ONCE, if you continue to spoil a Mute / Ban could be enforced. Some small talk is ok, but mostly it is for reviews only, if you wish to talk deep details about episodes / movies please take it to the forum, as such talk is not prohibited there..
If you would like to know what constitutes as a Spoiler, See Below:
Thank you for understanding... SparkyKarl.
Please add links to TV SHOWS via TV SHOWS FORM not MOVIE FORM.
And fill ALL fields which are there with VALID data.
Those who fail to understand this simple requirement will be punished. Linkers will be demoted then banned, non-likers will be banned right away.
PS. those who do not receive notifications for new movies and episodes and see some movies "broken" or episodes missing can thank those beautiful uploaders that cannot fill forms properly.
Hello fellow Solarians,
Few weeks ago we warned our users about a mandatory login change and today it happened. All login names were changed and if you are unable to login - you can check your new name [http://www.solarmovie.so/new-n...].
We also got a new feature for you. We added a reply feature, so from now on if you click on reply, the message that you're replying to and the nickname of the recipient will be quoted in your message.
And of course we nailed some nasty bugs.
Pretty good adaptation of the book. Although it only covers about half of what happened in the book. It doesn't at all cover the major, major, major big-time problems Johnny Goodboy Tyler had with the inter-galactic banking cartel.
Travolta was a spot-on presentation of Terl, the book's main baddie.
If you haven't read the book, this movie will probably be mostly gibberish to you.
And no, neither the book (outside the preface) nor the movie make any reference reference whatsoever to scientology. "Battlefield Earth" is just a straight-up alien invasion yarn.
If you're illiterate, the audiobook can usually be found on YT. Skip the first half hour or so as it's just ego-stroking for Hubbard.
Movie booboo... in the book it was stated the humans got so smart so quickly by using the alien teaching machine. But the movie left this essential bit out. Whoops. That really shouldn't have been left out and you'll have to stick it back in mentally yourself.
Earth for earthlings! Aliens go home!
@antioch Yep, that's EXACTLY what I was talking about. Amazing that you could make that analogue from my comment about a poorly written and executed movie. Most people wouldn't have made that wacky, off-the-rails leap from comedy to paedophilia. But not you, man - you played that non sequitur full on. It's like you know me.
