VHS First Viewing, 2 Shea films seen

Having always joked about the Poison Ivy franchise, I decided it was time to sit down and devote at least 95 minutes to it (assuming I didn't rush right out and get the sequels as well). It was one of the most disturbing movies I have ever seen - it clearly surpasses In the Bedroom and Bully.

You wish...

Now that I have started off with a bang, I will give you my real review of this film. Ready? It sucks. But it reached my expectations as well. I was hoping for stupid dialogue and plot twists. You know, "thriller" stuff. And Poison Ivy may suck, but it does deliver the "thriller" stuff, at least for those willing to suspend all disbelief and integrity!
I'm beginning the rather lengthy task of entering into the database every film I have seen, at least those I have a decent memory of. Some may have the briefest of reviews while many will just have a number. Those films that I consider personal favorites and/or those that have some historical signficance I will add later when I have time for more lengthy reviews.

White Men Can't Jump, directed by Ron Shelton, is an above average sports comedy/buddy film starring Woody Harrelson. Wesley Snipes and Rosie Perez. The two men hustle money based on the wrong perception that Harrelson can't play. The film also lightly touches on race. The two leads have great chemistry and Rosie Perez is funny as Harrelson's game show addicted girlfriend.

Poison Ivy, directed by Andy Ruben, is an erotic thriller starring Drew Barrymore.

Meet Joe Black is a dud starring Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins.

Losing Isaiah, directed by Stephen Gyllenhaal, stars Halle Barry as poor, drug addicted single mother who in a drug haze leaves her infant son outside of a drug house. The baby ends up in the hospital and a social worker (Jessica Lange) eventually adopts the infant. Four years later a now sober Barry tries to regain custody.

this is a great suspense movie it keeps you wondering what will happen next it is also very sexy I LOVE U DREW BARRYMORE
