Lately Solarmovie has been plagued by the epidemic of people spoiling episodes / movies on the review comment page and I feel this needs to be addressed, please be aware that this is against the [https://www.solarmovie.is/rule...] and such activity will warrant a mute / ban depending on the severity of the spoiler! It does not matter even if you place SPOILER at the top of your review to warn people, it is forbidden and against the rules. A warning will only be Issued ONCE, if you continue to spoil a Mute / Ban could be enforced. Some small talk is ok, but mostly it is for reviews only, if you wish to talk about episodes / movies please take it to the forum, as such talk is not prohibited there.
Thank you for understanding... SparkyKarl.

And of course we nailed some nasty bugs.
I think you missed my point, you said white males don't have a voice. I was letting you know 80% of congress would disagree. Along with every president except our current one if you do live in the western world.
If you want to get down to who has money to fund campaigns or the fact that in a study the same resume will be much more likely to get chosen based on a typical white male sounding name rather than "non-white" and how that can equate to election choosing, we can.
Talking about the abolition of slavery and the civil rights movement are two completely different things. Obviously, even though the civil war was fought, there was still racism in America.... so too, is there still racism even though there is civil rights. It's not as prominent, but it's still there. Ex. Redskins, Chief Wahoo, to name a few. The biggest holocaust, the systematic taking of the USA still doesn't get talked about, not nearly as much as the one in Germany. Nor do genocides in other countries get as much news coverage.
The point of me telling that story of imagining characters as white males when I was a kid was to illustrate how deeply engrained media of that time had in some way conditioned my thinking when I was younger. Ultimately, it was me who was making the stories, and after I noticed I changed it because there were so many white male characters already on TV, books, comics, et al.
In regards to your 3 point, it's simply untrue in a historical sense. Women only gained the right to vote less than 100 years ago. Poor white and free blacks about the same, 100 years. Native Americans born on reservations only more recently have been accepted. Historically, voting had been a practice relegated to the wealthy, white male. I am not saying this to be racist, I'm merely stating the facts, at least for the united states and most of the Western World. So no, not all people have always had a voice.
forgotten how good that movie is for it's time. Too bad they didn't make some kind of sequel for it.
Plot is really thin, no background to speak of, but a decent action flick none the less. I hope any who watch it enjoy it. 7/10 . the audio isn't good though. Fluctuates ALOT, but the video quality is good.
I saw it years ago and just again recently... still love it. I've never seen the graphic novels, I happen to watch this movie at my friends house on some random movie night, he didn't know what he was picking up, but we all loved it. Yes it's not your multi-million dollar, big budget, block buster, but sometimes movies like that try to hard to be something big, and falls flat on it's face. Case in point: Matrix 2, yeah, I said it! Matrix 2! Don't get me wrong, I loved pt1 and over all the whole deal, but... the projects basketball court fight scene, *pukes*, *PUKES*, *PUKES!!!*. Oh God, my stomach, can't take, any, more of that, that, malarkey. When I saw that fight scene in Matrix 2, I went from enjoying the Matrix world, to feeling like I was watching a cut scene from a console game. And the longer it went on I was like, "They really want me to swallow this horses--t that looks like a video-game after part 1 looked seamlessly so much better?!?" I don't mean to say this to piss people off, but the more I watched that fight scene and the longer it went on, the more I actually started to feel embarrassed, honestly. You know what I mean! We've ALL been there at some point of watching a particular movie, if not looking around to see if anybody around us is having the same reaction (if we're in the theater) to make sure WE'RE not crazy for being appalled.
Anyway, what I mean to say is that this movie didn't go out of it's way to try to be something more than what it was, like I said about another movie, 'sometimes less is more'. I'll even admit that there were parts in this movie that I couldn't tell if it was real or green screen, whether it's a person (yes a couple times I was thrown off), a background, or a simple object. And I'm man enough to say that the little guy in the bathroom, the one that handed her something when she needed it, was cute, there, I said it.
Now everyone has there own opinion, some people might say, "This movie blows!" or, "This ain't no Avengers", in which case, to each their own. Me I give it a 9/10.
i don't care what hitler did for his ppl....nothing justifies the concenration camps..the murdering of women and children..of innocent ppl. not for russia, poland, no country....i am german american and i hate hitler.
I watched this one over because first time around I couldn't pay a lot of attention so I didn't really care for it, I was very mistaken. Creepy and nice and scary indeed. Can't wait for the 2nd one. 8 out of 10 for sure.
I expected this to be the second film of Epic. The trailer at least made it seem that way BUT! It was soooo different from Epic! I would have liked it if they named the forest different but the story and the characters a quite different.
I loved it! It was so lovely! <3
