Great for a watch with the kids. Enjoyed.
ok movie weird
This was a great movie. It was entertaining and intelligent. Great sets and good acting. Kimberly J. Brown did a great job as character of hopeful Marnie. Joey Zimmerman did nice comical job portraying the extremely dry Dylan. But in my opinion, Emily Roeske stole the show as Sophie. She was adorable and most intelligent character. Nicely developed plot and Debbie Reynolds shines as the kooky grandmother! Definitely recommend this movie for those who have kids.
Halloweentown is possibly the worst movie I have seen in life. The acting is terrible. The plot is least original and copied from Nightmare Before Christmas. The dialogues aren't special. The humour is lame. Why does this film get 20%? Well, thats because of one joke and also the ending scene which gives a message of teamwork. Other than that, I hate this film.
As a movie, it's pretty creative. The set designs and costumes are well done. I'm giving it a mild recommendation.
I would say it is an interesting twist on a genre that sets out to scare not please. The acting however was cheesy as was the attempts at comedy. Not horrible, not good. At least no one starts singing in this. It is better than most movie from Disney Channel.
Halloweentown is gimicky, predictable and can't seperate itself from the other Disney Channel films enough to make it one of the stand out and most recogniseable of the Disney Channel films.
Good movie
Halloweentown has some surprisingly decent visuals but has trouble sustaining itself as a film for the entire runtime.
