Movie trailer

Pro: The editing. The ending. The drug-trip scene. The music, especially "the weight." The quote: "If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him." Nicholson. "We blew it."

Con: Wanders. Somewhat dated. A bit repetitive at times (i.e. ride, talk, ride, talk.)
I enjoyed this movie. I think it's worth watching just for the scene in the graveyard where they do drugs if i'm correct. Sorry i haven't seen the movie in a while.

I uhhh, just dont know what I feel anymore. Im depressed I feel unconfident in everything I do. I just dont know what direction Im going in and whatever I choose I feel akyward and stupid about trying to choose it. I have no friends by my side anymore and that sucks. I just dont know what happened and how I became such a failure. I just want things to be right. I wish I could get to where I should be I wish the world would except me, just let me be who I am instead of the anti everything that it seems like I am. What happened.

man, i forgot how utterly depressing this movie was. it's still quite impressive despite being slightly dated. it's also really inspiring how fonda and hopper, who were working for roger corman at the time, just borrowed a camera and shot on the weekends and were able to get enough backing to make the film. gives little filmmakers like myself a glimmer of hope. it's definitely got some rough spots, but putting those aside, it's a very laudable first film that has some wonderful commentary on the state our country was in at the close of the 60's. plus, nicholson is great.
A Masterpiece.
while i can see the mass appeal, this movie dragged for me...i didn't find the story all that interesting and believe you could get a handy cam and follow three random bikers around for a few days and have an equally interesting did address the close mindedness of the south, but i felt it went overboard..i did like some of the dialogue- especially with nicholson's character- and admire the tragic ending, which i'm sure was rare in movies back then..
overall, i expected better
:rotten: :rotten: :rotten: :rotten: :rotten: Ya, I get it. Be free, live easy, do drugs, sell drugs. I'm sure it was great in its' day but it's not "that" good of a movie. What thoes guys needed was a good job and to stop doing drugs. I'm sure the only real reason it's concidered a classic is because it wasn't the "usual" Hollywood film. Much too big a deal is made over this film and critics give it good reviews because they think thay are supposed to.
very good movie.
