@Snoopydance Yeah this one was one of those sleepers that not as many people have seen it but really should see it.. Especially if they enjoy mob films.. This is by far Chazz Palminteris' best work & its refreshing to see DeNiro on the other side for a change.. Now Put him in the closet.. 9/10
Man--I dunno how I missed seeing this one til now. I've heard of it, just somehow never watched it before. Glad I did tonight. Tough, beautiful story. Made me cry--first time a gangster movie ever made me cry. ;)

Well, I think maybe Sleepers got to me, but...that's a very different gangster movie. (And also an exceptional De Niro performance.)
I'm on a Gangster movie spree today, an other one I enjoyed, Robert DeNiro is one of my favorite actors.
More movies...
Recorded off the TV so not the full whack, but enough to ascertain that this is well up there in that Godfather, Goodfellas, Taxi Driver vein. HT
:fresh: If you like mafia movies then you'll love this one. :fresh:
So....all is well in my world. I could complain about things but really I have nothing to complain about. Life is interesting to me. I have been exposed to some interesting dynamics that has prompted me to think about human nature. How we has a specie can be so different, is amazing. For instances, what causes one to smile, cry, or fly off the handle differs from one person to the next. I consider myself to be pretty patient and forgiving. I can say that having dealt with some pretty hurtful situations in my life. What makes one harbor so much strife and hold grudges and fathom to intentionally do another harm to others I cannot understand. Maybe I haven't had that experience that would make me react that way, maybe I never will. I hope not, it's not pretty. Anyhow, like I always say Don't try to figure life out, you'll get frustrated if you do...Just Live It

I watched A Bronx Tale last night. Not a bad film...

:fresh: :fresh: :fresh: :fresh: :fresh: I went to this one just to see what kind of a director Di Nero would be and got a great story. I totally forgot the real reason I wanted to see it and forgot he was the director. a fantastic Diretoral Debut.
