There were some laugh out loud moments...very very funny dialog. Personally, I think Craig Robinson (Zack's married friend) had the best lines. Enjoyable flick. Warning: very adult language, scenes and humor.
a cool comedy from kevin smith, thought the chemistry between seth rogen and elizabeth banks was good, the jokes are funny and the story is different, great cast aswell an all round good movie.
Wow, what a disappointment this movie was. I love Kevin Smith and his great story telling, but this was by far one of the worst movies I have seen this year.
If Seth Rogen wasn't in this movie, I wouldn't even have cared about it. As soon as I heard the name of the movie and about the cast, I knew it would be very funny. I became a fan of Seth Rogen after watching (Knocked Up) and I don't think there is even one movie of him that I haven't seen. Though I didn't quite liked (Pineapple Express) as much as I thought I would but (Observe and Report) was much better than I had thought.

As the name suggests, this movie has a lot of nudity and adultery. They were even filming porn to get themselves outta mess they were in. But with all this stuff, this movie didn't even for once felt dragged and boring thanks to Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks. Acting was very good throughout the movie. Seth Rogen is awesome.
If you can get over the dirtiness (which is remarkably hilarious), this movie is uplifting and adorable, especially since it is a Kevin Smith Movie.
I liked it. It was a tastefully raunchy chick flick, to say it in fewer words. The chemistry between Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks was believable and made the film that much more heartfelt. It was nice to see them in a deeper plot compared to that of "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" where we saw them act before. It was a more realistic chick-flick, may I also add. I found it humorous that Katie Morgan was cast aside Jason Mewes and found their performance together untouchable by any other comedic mind. Morgan's acting fit the part and has me hoping she'll dig a little deeper into her non-pornographic acting. The beginning was a little slow and I wish Justin Long would have stuck around longer throughout the plot. I must also touch on the fact that it is a Kevin Smith movie. As a whole, it didn't feel like a Smith movie. It worked because of the placement of Rogen. Personally, I get a little over Rogen-ed in some of his films and this one I didn't. I felt the presence of Smith most with the Star Wars parody; that was the point for me in the film that cemented the fact that I was going to love it. Before watching this film I was suggested to skip it by a few friends who found it sappy and romantic, but that's why I liked it. It was a step away from the norm and I think it fared quite nice.
A brilliantly funny feel good film, I watched this with my parents and we all found it eaquily entertaining, the only down side to this film is the pradictable ending but we can let that be as the cast is perfect, the story is new and well directed and it can be watched time and time again and the joke's dont get old!
it seems Kevin Smith has gone completely hollywood, forgetting all his indie roots (except for a few small roles given to stars of clerks) this isnt a complete disaster its just not as good as Mallrats, Clerks or Chasing Amy. The dialogue is still clever and Rogen and Banks are hilarious. Overall its a very predictable film with a few funny scenes, but a real dissapointment is Kevin Smith has become what he used to hate and take the piss out of
Like most Kevin Smith movies there are a ton of pop culture references and only a few really great jokes. Oh and there's plenty of abrasive words thrown against a fitting porn backdrop, mostly c*nt, f&$k, sh#t, p%^sy, balls and the like. This should be expected for anyone who knows Smith’s roots as an entertaining amateur indie filmmaker (Clerks, Mall Rats, and Chasing Amy). These days Kevin Smith has gone mainstream, and by mainstream I do not mean he sold out, rather, his entertaining amateur films got thrown into theaters everywhere. A solid victory for the little guy!

So Zack and Miri make a porno. Why? Why else? Because they need money. Jobs? Nah. That would be too boring. This is the amateur part I previously mentioned. Do I care? No. It's supposed to be fun and I want to laugh.

The Good: Kevin Smith is loyal to his friends who call themselves actors but are pretty terrible, however, Jay (of Jay and Silent Bob fame) turns in a performance worth the watch alone.

Also, Craig Robinson is hilarious. Probably one of the funniest guys on the planet. He kills me. Jay and Craig, if anything else, see it for them.

The Bad: The amateur contrivances and lack of quality chemistry between Rogan and Banks, both easily forgivable.

There's enough funny to enjoy, unless you live in Utah.
** 1/2 (thumbs up)
I knew then I saw this film that the whole thing was just going to be stupid. Well I was right. The whole plot was just strange. The cast was pretty funny though. I did find myself laughing really hard at parts. Some of the cast were from the Jay and Silent Bob movies and that was a surprising touch. Seth Rogen was funny, but I think he could of done better. I was getting really enjoyed by Elizabeth Banks though. Just in my eyes she is not funny. My favorite character would have to be Draig Robinson. He had me laughing every time. So if you want some laughs, then you can watch this film. If you are looking for a good story, it just doesn't have it.
