One of my favorite movies of all-time and the 2nd best written script by Tarantino. Slater's best movie and all of the supporting cast was great. What a cast. Walken, Pitt, Gandolfini, Chris Penn, Sizemore, Oldman, Kilmer, Hopper, and Sam Jackson.
**** / *****

Decent acting. Excellent usage of violence. This is probably Patricia Arquette at her finest.
I figured i'd write a review for True Romance, cuz you know, I'm bored. This movie is great fun, the opening scene is funny, about the whole f***ing Elvis deal. Christian Slater is Clarence, a comic shop clerk, who's obssessed with Kung Fu. While seeing a marathon of Kung Fu movies in the theatre, he meets Alabama (Patricia Aquette), the two hit it off and she falls for him. Later we learn that his boss hired Alabama for Clarence's birthday. After that the movie is a wild ride.

The script was written by Quentin Tarantino (he got the money to make Reservoir Dogs from this), and it's everything you could expect. The most famous scene in True Romance comes about halfway through, with Christopher Walken and Dennis Hopper. That's the whole Sicilian scene, its a classic scene, no matter how many times I see it, it neve gets old.

Add to that a great supporting cast, featuring: James Gandolfini, Brad Pitt,Micheal Rappaport,Hopper, and Walken. The movie is great fun, worth every penny.

What a great film, stylish, witty and cool
Reviews later; I'm exhausted.
Directed by Tony Scott
Written by Quentin Tarantino
Genre: Thriller/Crime/Romance/Drama
Runtime: 121 minutes (Director's Cut)
Plot Summary: Clarence marries hooker Alabama, steals cocaine from her pimp, and tries to sell it in Hollywood, while the owners of the coke try to reclaim it. - IMDB

This is the film that Quentin wrote in order to finance his own first feature, Reservoir Dogs. Director Tony Scott butchers a pretty good script with hideous and unintentionally hilarious camera shots and bad editing. Has a great cast, although its most intriguing performances - Gary Oldman, Christopher Walken, Val Kilmer, Brad Pitt, etc. - are only in the film for a few short moments each. The plot is good, but nowhere close to the expert storytelling Quentin has utilized in his other films.
