:fresh: Feelin Fresh! First entry into my Book of Shadows. This is where I write down thoughts about Magick and how it has effected my day i guess! Well, I watched 'The Craft' today! It was one of the best Witchcraft movies I have ever seen. I also wrote in my un-computer version of my Book of Shadows. I wrote about Invokation of the Spirit. Dangerous Stuff! Anyway, from now on in most on my entries their will be a little spell for everyone to try out! Have a go! Blessed Be xXx

This movie was good, not great, just good. The acting was decent, and the effects were alright, for it's time. I think it's the movie that truely sybolizes the Wiccan/Pagan concept. I don't follow that horseshit, but whatever. Watching the characters each get crazier and crazier as the movie progressed and the "magic" got stronger and deeper, was an awesome approach too. There wasn't much of the movie I didn't like, but if I were to take it scene for scene then I could definetely find something, but in general, and as a whole, this movie was pretty good. There were a couple characters in this movie that had minor roles and they got on my nerves, so I'm glad that I didn't have to deal with them the whole time, and did anyone else notice that the black girl-witch-friend-thing, kept being told to shut up, and they were closing her off alot. Hmm, I did.

Starring: Fairuza Balk, Robin Tunney, Neve Campbell, Rachel True, Skeet Ulrich, Christine Taylor, and Helen Shaver.
Directed by Andrew Fleming.
Written by Peter Filardi and Andrew Fleming.
Rated R (for some terror and violence, and for brief language).
Running time approximately 1 hour 41 minutes.

The Craft is an interesting case. Though not quite void of conventional ingredients, it emits a certain originality I haven't seen in a film involving witchcraft since The Witches of Eastwick (1987). The four witches, all high school outcasts - seemingly by choice - are all developed very well, the performances splendidly over-the-top (especially Balk's, who seems like a cross between Cruella DeVill and Norman Bates' "mother"). Really, though, this film consists of impressive special effects overlapping an insipid storyline. Either way, I liked it. *** (out of ****) B
I always find it funny when people comment on your journal as 'guests'.. they usually say something stupid, rude, or somehow obscene.. Theyre usually just random people trying to get under your skin.. or sometimes.. someone you know.. or Knew.. just showing theyre true colors and being an asshole.. eitherway.. its so Retarted.

This movie is almost like a classic. Of course I like witchcraft movies alot. I think the way this movie turned out is quite good. It is about this girl who moves with her family to a new town and she has special abilities that she doesn't know how to unleash. She meets this group of witches and things are fun for awhile until they start getting out of hand. I like almost all movies with Neve Campbell in them.
I really liked this movie. And some parts (like in the extra features) helped me a lot when I was practicing Wicca.
