So just exactly how cute IS this movie? I have heard that it is pretty good, but I had no idea. I loved the fact that the zebra won the race!! Forget about the fact that he didn't even know he was different. That was actually my only complaint. How did it take him 3 years to figure out he was a zebra? And not one person (or animal I guess) even slipped this info to him? But whatever, it was a great movie. And the voice for the pelican was great! I loved the Jersey references of course. Overall, a great family movie.
(**):

Kids might like it but I just felt that it was too cliched for me.

good jokes! good movie

A movie with the story of Babe or Charlotte's Web, but none of the charm.
This is such a rip-off.
In essence it is the Babe version of zebras, but unlike Babe, this movie irremediably fails as a cheap comedy or a manipulative drama. Still, they are some saved characters (the pelican) and kids will be entertained (that is of course, kids below age 5) but for the rest of the audience it will be widely boring.
FORGETTABLE BUT, FUNNIER THAN KANGAROO JACK. I GIVE RACING STRIPES ** 1/2.
It has lots of funny moments for kids, but adults would rather do laundry while this film is on. Skip this unless you are in desperate need of a movie for your kids. I, myself, found it very boring.
