Just got done watching this, its been so long last time i seen it , Very funny movie. Then again i am a Huge Steve Martin fan kinda funny he had white hair even at a young age . This movie is a 10/10 for me
Almost the moral to Parenthood. Lame lame lame...
Too feel good and shallow.
But Steve Martin made it slightly watchable.
If someone had died, the movie could have worked.
But noooo....moral of the story is: have a baby and life is good.
Ugh.
Another Howard dud... nice role for Clint though.

I worked. It wasn't too bad. It was FUCKING busy though.
We made more than $500 in less-than peak hours (basically anytime before 7pm).

When I got home, I did my chores and left.

Babysitting.
It was really easy and nice...
I watched baby Emmy.
SOOOO CUTE!!!
She barely cried !!! and slept the rest of the night silent as lamb...
Which is pretty fucking AMAZING considering I've never, ever sat for her and I'm a strange person.

Tomorrow, I do nothing.
Wait,it is tomorrow.

I should go spend my cool $40 from sitting... on presents for my sisters.

:)
Tonight's movie is "Parenthood". Our family really enjoys this movie and now for the next week or so we will be stating the following quotes all the time:

"Would you stop calling him THAT TODD!"

"I was waiting or her head to spin around..."

*singing* "Why do birds suddenly appear...."

"It's an electric ear cleaner..."...

This is a movie that really reminds us of when our kids were small ... it's so hard to try and be a "good" parent, and yet somehow - are kids survived! :)
Never been a fan of Steve Martin and it continues.

BRILLIANT COMEDY/DRAMA, SUPERBLY WRITTEN, POIGNANTLY DIRECTED BY HOWARD WITH A SUPERB CAST. WEIST, STEENBURGEN, MARTIN, PLIMPTON, ROBARDS ETC ARE ALL TERRIFIC. VERY ENTERTAINING, THOUGHT PROVOKING AND TOUCHING
Lost in Translation (Coppola, 2003): A.
On this third go-around on Coppola's swingset of awesomeness, I was struck by Bill Murray's height. I looked it up. The man is 6'1" tall. Holy bejeebus. For some reason, I used to put him in the Tom Cruise category of vertical achievement. I was wrong. So very, very wrong.

Parenthood (Howard, 1989): B+.
The first time I saw this movie, I was ten. Though I'm smarter than all of you, I will admit that at that tender age, the jokes about vibrators, oral sex, erections, and Exorcist-references were lost on me. I've seen this movie bunches of more times, and I get them ALL now. Yay me!

Carnal Knowledge (Nichols, 1971): B+.
So. Art Garfunkel and Candice Bergen kiss. Never thought I'd see that. Just goes to show that anything can happen in the movies.

#3. The Man Whose Abs Defined a New Generation of Male Self-Hatred.

Very funny especially if you have "normal" kids
I feel realyl really sick, I have a temperature and a bad cold... as apposed to a good cold? : / .... anyways so this is going to be short and sweet.

My Cousin Vinny: Good funny film, effective in what it sets out to be.

Parenthood: I caught this on TCM, it was a lot better then I thought it was going to be. Not that funny of a movie that is described as a comedy. But works extremly well as a drama.

Sky Captain: I enjoyed it a lot more in theatres, which probably makes sense considering the type of film it is, it would work better on the big screen. Still a great retro style flick though.
