and still got to the liquor store before midnight to grab a bottle of Jameson's.

I've got about four hours of the Pogues on my computer that are pretty much going to be on repeat all day. To start, Red Roses for Me. I contemplated doing a list of all the best Pogue's songs, but that would take time I need to write my paper and probably be a drag. So I'll do that once I'm back from Spring Break.

So revel in your Irishness, everyone! Listen to the Pogues, get entirely too drunk and I'll forgive ya even if you aren't a real mick.

I watched this one earlier this week. Fans of Braveheart and Rob Roy will probably like it.
Interesting biopic about the man who finally brought the British to the table, only to have to give up sovereignty of Ireland. A little long, but it never lagged. Neeson gives a firecracker performance
Beautifully made, excellent cinematography and score, good art direction and solid performances throughout. It's a bit overlong and the subject matter gets tedious after awhile, but a fine film.
Not exactly a masterpiece, but very well done by Neil Jordan, and Liam Neeson was born to play Collins and he does so with such gusto and passion that I don't mind watching this one all over again in reruns.
A well made film that lacks character development on almost all but Collins. The film is very interesting though and made me want to know more about the Irish history. Very watchable!
A great performance from Liam Neeson.
The film is a well told story and good direction from Niel Jordon!
