Wow, never boring, such a long movie and it kept me interested the entire way through.
Films deserving Honorable Mention (Part II):

1. Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace - Brilliant effects accompany the rebirth of this classic saga.

2. Sixteen Candles - Who ever said that "teenage goo" couldn't be entertaining?

3. Stand by Me - Rob Reiner's best effort.

4. Fortress - Australia is the back drop for this suspensful film.

5. Helter Skelter - A faux documentary, though captivating, covering the Manson Family. Based on the book by the prosecuting attorney in the case.
28 Weeks Later - A good overall horror movie. Well developed characters, not too much gore (though there is enough to warrant an R rating), and some haunting, and beautiful, imagry. I felt, however, that the story was too slow at some parts, and seemed to lack a direction or a sense of story beyond running from zombies.

Pan's Labyrinth - If you havent seen this, you are missing out. It's rather like 'Lady in the Water' but it differs on one point -- it's actually good. A pleasing blend of horror, fantasy, and drama, it's an excellent movie all around.

The Naked Gun - What's more to say, classic comedy at it's finest!

Hot Fuzz - Another cop-spoof, imagine some unholy mixture of every 'bad ass cop' movie with Monty Python, and you get Hot Fuzz. You also get a hilarious and enjoyable movie.

Helter Skelter - The Manson murder story. It's very disturbing to watch, yet it does a great job of portraying the awful things which transpired during those times. The performances are well done, and the horror is not daunted by it's lack of gore. Long, but well worth it.
Fantastic, Well Done Love This. I Own It ==Got to have for collection
Stories about Charles Manson scare the crap out of me, and I'm not sure why. I spent the entire running time of the film feeling very anxious. Some of the supporting actors are laughably bad, and the second half lost my interest in a couple of parts, but still, a rather creepy portrayal of a very creepy story.
