GREAT! It was a movie that both my boy friend and I could watch. It had sports him, a love story for me, and great comedy for both of us! Definatly worth watching.
Baseball Fluff.
I'm a fan of drew barrymore and like jimmy falon too, but I was dissappointed.
I knew going into it, that this movie was going to be a cliche romantic comedy. What you see is what you get. Just another romantic comedy. Jimmy Fallon was what saved this movie from being too boring. I'll admit that I found myself laughing at several parts throughout this movie, but by the end I didn't quite feel satisfied with it. Absolutely a rental movie, worth seeing if the mood strikes you. I appreciate you, Jimmy Fallon.
Being a die-hard redsox fan, I truly respect this movie, and this mans love for the team, how could you not love them? I think it's a great movie showing what being a true redsox fan is all about, love dedication faith and pride, all wrapped into one film. amazing.
I am so fucking tired.............

Just to let you know that yes, tired is my mood at the moment. Things are only gonna get worse from here on out. I'm gonna start working 6 days a week now instead of 5 days a week to make some extra change for Christmas. You do what you gotta do, it's that simple. You do what you have to do.

Surprise!!!! I didn't hate FEVER PITCH. Seeing as how I usually hate the shit out of romantic comedies, I didn't hate FEVER PITCH, and that in and of itself is a surprise. In fact, I found the film incredibly sweet and endearing. The Farrelly Brothers have changed their pace a little bit as of late, making films a little more grown-up as opposed to sticking to the juvenalia that ruled their earlier career. I like this, because every filmmaker has to grow a little bit, you know, try new things. Jimmy Fallon and Drew Barrymore aren't their usual insufferable selves, which is also fucking shocking. I'll tell you what. Everything about this film surprised me. It's a surprising film.

THE AMITYVILLE HORROR I definitely expected more from. Ryan Reynolds is great, as he has been of late, and there are some decent scares and nice mood and atmosphere, but in the end it all feels underwhelming. Maybe that's due to the fact that it only runs about 85 minutes, and when it starts to get going, it's over. Fuck that.

I bought a couple of DVDs the other day. Purchased me some SEINFELD and that OFFICE SPACE special edition.

No explanation necessary.
Enjoyable romantic comedy about love between a true fan, who remembers that 'fan' is short for 'fanatic,' and normal businesswoman. Some fun moments and some good humor. Jimmy Fallon does too much stand up, and Drew Barrymore's acting leaves much to be desired. The dialogue about their relationship is a little too stilted. Not my first choice for a romantic comedy, but not my last, either.
Fever Pitch

Directed By: Bobby Farrelly & Peter Farrelly
Written By: Lowell Ganz & Babaloo Mandel
Starring: Jimmy Fallon & Drew Barrymore

A very nice romantic comedy. Ben is a high school math teacher and Lindsey is a business consultant. They meet when Ben takes some students on a tour of where Lindsey works. Ben and Lindsey go out on a date and they fall in love. Lindsey's friends convince her that there's something wrong with Ben because he's not married yet. Lindsey finds out what that is when spring rolls around. Ben is a huge Red Sox fan. He goes to spring training, has season tickets, and his whole apartment is covered with Red Sox memoribilia. Lindsey really loves him, but can she handle this Red Sox fantacism? The film is filled with a few unexpected twists and turns, that I do not want to spoil.

The performances by the two main actors in the film are nothing short of excellent. I've always found Jimmy Fallon very obnoxious, especially when he was on Saturday Night Live. But he was extraordinary in this movie, best performance he's ever given. He makes us believe that Lindsey would want to be with his character, despite his flaws. He's charming, likable, and even sympathetic. Drew Barrymore is also fantastic. She's so likable in this movie. She lights up the screen whenever she appears. The best performance she's given in a while.

An overall fun movie. It's entertaining the whole way through. The screenplay is fantastic. The one liners, the pattern of the story, the unexpected surprises. The directing from the Farrelly brother is also quite an accomplishment. This one is definately recommended.

Fever Pitch

This was a play by the book Rom-Com. But I enjoyed it very much. I thought Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon work will as the lovers. I would love to see to see them do another movie togther. I think there are some actors that just have that something when they are paired together. And I feel these two had that something. It was worth the watch.

The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants

I really loved this movie. Very well written and the actress were all good. I would say this would be a keeper for teen movie. I like to think this is a thinking teen movie. It wasn't fluff. It had some meat and bonds to it. It wasn't your noramal teen flick. And that's why I liked it. They need to make more of these types of movies. Well worth the rent and even to own.

Winter Solstice

First off I love Anthony LaPaglia. He is so over looked. I try to see everything he is in.
What I loved about this movie. It was a quiet look at men and how the deal with things. Men are nothing like us ladies. They sit quietly with themselves or with their buddies. The deal with life differently than we ladies do. While we ladies talk each other's ears off and have a good cry. Men may say a few words and leave it at that. Or they get drunk and lash out. This movie deals with a widower and his two sons. It was a beautifully written. And I am glad I was able to rent it. It is a small quiet movie but worth finding and watching.
Donna A.

A surprise indeed. A funny, charming love story that isn't stupid or sappy. An impressive movie essentially about obsession and about love. Highly recommended.
