There are some funny parts in this movie but not enough to make this movie watchable. This movie would be good if it was a 5 minute SNL sketch but not a movie. :rotten:
I thought Deuce Bigalo was great. Some parts were albeit too corny, but there were plenty of laughs to make up for it. It's one of those movies I wouldn't pay full price for.....but its definitely in my collection!.

I would rate it a high 7 out of 10.
I've been pretty bad at actually using this thing for rating movies, so here we go.

Saw Garden State at work. As many other people have said, it strives for a similar sense of ennui as Lost in Translation, but without the good characters and performances of Eternal Sunshine. It was fine as a movie, but the ending was a little rushed and poorly thought out. A good first time out for Zach Braff.

Maverick is just a fun movie. I like that. Jodie Foster hams up her role pretty well.

Just saw Deuce Bigalow on TV. It was OK. Nice message that was kind of unexpected from the previews and trailer. Rather silly tho.

50 First Dates was also pretty sweet and not too much Adam Sandler. Drew Barrymore is slowly regaining respect from me after dating/marrying(?) Tom Greene. Ugh.

And thus we come to a classic. If you didn't like this movie, well then, that's fine, but I won't be offering my DVD collection for you to borrow because you won't be interested.

Rob Schneider, well, I would say this is the only movie where he starred that was any good. I love him in bit parts, but having him head a movie is like Russian Roulet with all chambers full minus one. Not good odds.

I can see why Rob and Adam Sandler hit it off. They both like making movies where other people play the "hound dogs" while they come out smelling like roses, the good guys, the sensitive "I care about you, not what you can do for me" guys. You know they were the ones to think up the hound dog story lines, laughing, nudging and winking. And yet, for some reason, we forgive them, because they are so good at being ugly and adorable at the same time. Who can resist that?

Now, this movie I am rating, has excellent points of interest. Many to be exact. The wooden leg. The pimp in his food clogged hot tub. The father and his shit soaked hands eating a muffin. The penis like pasta. The male gigolo who collects all things dangerous. The blind bartender. Come on, and that's only the start

So perfect. I haven't met a man who didn't like this movie. And with the women, well I was afraid to ask. Could be a breaking point.

If you liked this movie, you should like Austen Powers III: Goldmember; The New Guy; and if not too much a prude, Old School.

Rating: 9

Script: 2 (not exceptional, but wonderfully enjoyable)
Enjoyable: 2

I AM EMBARASSED TO SAY THAT I ACTUALLY LAUGHED AT THIS FILM. GRANTED, MORE GAGS ARE MISSES THAN ARE HITS, BUT IT KEPT ME ENTERTAINED FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF, AND I CAN'T SAY THAT FOR A LOT OF OTHER FILMS. ROB SCHNEIDER IS ODDLY LIKABLE.

Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo (1999)

A pretty popular movie among comedy fans but I thought it was just ok. Had some potential but didn't live up to it.

Deuce Bigalow is a less than attractive, down on his luck but high on morals, aquarium cleaner. One of his clients is a male gigolo who pays Deuce to clean his back-yard pond. One day the gigolo asks Deuce to nurse his precious fish back to health while he is out of the country conducting "business." When Deuce wrecks the house and needs quick money for repairs he convinces himself the only way to make quick funds is to transform himself into a gigolo. T.J. Hicks a "Male Madam" helps Deuce by setting him up with an unusual mix of female clients. He encounters a couple of problems due to his morals, one of which involves falling in love with what appears to be a "normal" client. Deuce needs to make some money and avoid a sleazy police officer that is after Deuces' gigolo friend.

"Bangkok Betty, she had an amazing mouth. It paid for our honeymoon."

Mike Mitchell (Greg the Bunny television series) directs Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo. Mitchell does a fantastic job of developing characters, and turning what could be raunchy/risqu
This movie may be a bit out there but it is HILARIOUS! Some of the most unlikely things happen and it still manages to make the movie funny. I liked the lady who couldn't stop screaming things and the big fat lady was the best. I can't express how much I loved this movie!
