@Resticon Re: "head spinning for days." That really wasn't my experience. In fact it was a bit of a let down. The individual stories were interesting enough and not overly difficult to follow, but if you come into this thinking you're going to discover some grand intellectual revelation in how they tie together, you'll leave underwhelmed.
Wow, 23 minutes in stopped, one or the worst movies I've seen. Total waste of 23 minutes.
I'm going to have to try this again with more coffee. After 20mins I still had no clue.
Good movie, hard, but good.
The beginning was a bit confusing but it got easier to keep up with. It was really like four movies in one and I don't think that they could've executed it any better.
Watching Cloud Atlas made me feel like a kid watching Star Wars for the first time. Fantastic movie, a must see. 10/10
This movie is very confusing, you really have to listen to everything they're saying and concentrate to understand the movie. Glad I didn't go to the theater to watch this because it wasn't entertaining at all. I probably would've left the theater confuse and pissed off hahhaha. No wonder if was a flop in the box office.
This film is going to require more than one pass. There is a lot of threads to follow. It upset me, and made me think, and for that I will give it more than a single viewing. It is rare, for me anyway, to find a film that has both emotional and intellectual impact as this film has.
had my brain working O__o really enjoyed!
@Resticon I've seen this at the theatres when it came out I think. First of all, I had mixed feelings. Some stories were good, I like the concept. But that movie really pissed me off for some reason. Probably because when I went back on the streets I was like: seriously, that's the point of the movie?
I really wanted to slap people, just for being people.
I tried to talk about it with others. I'm still unsure why that movie made me feel this way. And I usually don't hate stuff, when I don't like something I just ignore it. But that I couldn't. Hell, I still can't and it's been more than a year...
So, the movie is well made and interesting, watch it, but I really really didn't like the way it made me feel afterwards... Homicidal.
That's just me though.
Now I'm going to try to go back to ignoring it.
