After reading reviews here and online, I decided to watch this movie. I don't know what other movie people watched, but I found this movie very confusing and a real disappointment.
What kind of ending is that!!!
This was a real delight. Action, Mahem and Something to think about. Really worth a watch and a theme to discuss. The musich is cool too.
really good movie!!
What a nice movie... 8) At the final turn to a great action-movie. So rich of humanity... you must see it. TY!
Perhaps my favorite movie of all time.
Excellent movie. Not much more to say. Just watch it.
One of my favs as well. Extremely realistic and well done film. Clive Owen was exceptional in this film.
Singlehandedly shattered everything we thought we knew about the sci-fi genre. Alfonso Cuaron creates an all too real, natural vision of the end of times. Humanity is at its breaking point, and he paints that picture with heartbreaking sincerity. Clive Owen gives a down to earth charismatic performance as the unlikely hero playing along side Michael Caine and Julian Moore. The action scenes are hypnotic and intense, with Cuaron composing some of the most mind-boggling single takes in cinema history. This film is completely original, spawning a number of wannabe films. This film leaves us with no easy answers, except that even in the most dire situations, there is hope.
'Children of Men' is a thought provoking science fiction.

Alfonso takes us to the time of 2027 where widespread infertility for eighteen years has led to the brink of human extinction. The whole world seems to be in mayhem. Britain seemed to be the only hope for asylum, which was still able to uphold a stable militaristic government with an iron grip. We get introduced to our foremost character 'Theo' who will play a key part in escorting a pregnant girl named 'Kee' to Human Project, which was thought to be a faction of scientists working to cure infertility. I would prefer not to go in too much plot details. In a way, this movie will be a kind of road passage with lots of dramatic and disturbing moments.

The bleak nature of the world reminded me of Danny Boyle's '28 Days Later'. Wealth of this movie had been the cinematography, which was truly stunning. Any movie's success depends on the casting; this movie was no different, perhaps the selection of acclaimed actors like Sir Michael Caine, Clive Owen & Julianne Moore made the overall rich storyline more effectual. Personally I feel this was one of the best performances put up by Clive Owen. Some of the action sequence integrated within the movie had also been of top notch.

This movie might not be appeal to everyone considering the nature of the apocalyptic storyline. Still this could be highly recommended for viewing, as the movie succeeds in giving us the notion of hope.
