As a martial artist this one inspired me to go further when I was younger, one of my favorite of all time.
great movie i love this one
5.00/10
I Caught most of this movie but missed a few scenes. Anyway, This movie was another older movie from the 80's, it had A bunch of martial artists who were going to Korea for a Taekwondo (martial art in which I hold a black belt in) tournament. Although the American's lose the tournament, The Koreans hold a tear jerking moment between the two countries, If only the real life countries could do that. Great movie, gotta see it if you havent.
Best of the Best: 6/10

The United States National (martial arts) team takes on Korea in a competition. Phillip Rhee is great and it's Eric Roberts best movie (only good one?).

DUDE! You will cry at least twice in this movie!
This was a truely great story with surprisingly grounded acting... with the exception of Roberts, ofcoarse. Noone was to big for the movie... the outcome, an emotionally powerful film with a strong finish and ending that couldn't let anyone down. The writing staff deserves a serious hi-five for this one!
A very American perspective into the world of taekwondo (in the film refered as Kirate) The movie follows five distinct characters (aimed to appeal to at least one in most demographics) to the World Karate Championship. Offers popular USA vs. other country theme prominent in 80's cinema.
loved this film as a kid, was a good karate film of its time.
Still my favourite fight movie. Even though it was released in 1989! Great story line! Runner ups: bloodsport (cheesy because of the date it was released, but still good), Kickboxer movies
