I recently watched this movie with my sister and we laughed and laughed all the way through it. She's not a huge rom-com fa but she loves this one. I, on the other hand, seem to watch nothing but rom-coms and loved it even more than she did. With a cast like Katherine Heigl, James Mardsen, Malin Akerman, Judy Greer, and Edward Burns, you can't go wrong. the one thing we noticed is that the story line is quite similar to that of Runaway Bride. The only difference is they switched bride to bridesmaid and countryside for NYC, but the whole thing with the reporter publishing an article about her is straight from Runaway Bride. Don't let me discourage you from watching this, though. It's still a good watch :)

This movie is really good! I love it every time I watch it :) 10/10

people say im a very emotional person, when i cried at this for the 5th time of watching it.... i now belive them

27 Dresses was a pretty good romcom. Katherine Heigl was great and charming in her role and James Marsden was great as well...finally in a lead role. He always had the supporting roles in his other movies like The Notebook and Enchanted (and he was very good in both) but in this film he was finally the main guy, which was nice because he was very charming and fun to watch. Even though this movie was cliched at times, it was thoroughly enjoyable and some scenes literally had me laughing out loud. Besides Marsden and Heigl..there's not much more to this movie...the premise was interesting enough to make a decent story but basically it's the charm of the two leads that carries this film.
 :fresh:
Pretty much your happy romantic comedy. Cute and feel good. No brain power necessary. It's nice sometimes. -Nic Angela
A date movie that is not toooo painful for the guys to watch.

My Review: This was a typical, light romantic comedy, but there's nothing memorable about it. In actuality, Katherine Heigl's character, as well as the actress who played her sister, got boring and tiresome. I felt a little "hit over the head" with the storyline as it unfolded since it was so predictable and obvious from the beginning. In addition, there didn't seem to be any chemistry between any of the characters. If you're a Katherine Heigl fan, however, you'll probably enjoy it.

Jane is idealistic, romantic and completely selfless -- a perennial bridesmaid whose own happy ending is nowhere in sight. But when younger sister Tess captures the heart of Jane's boss -- with whom she is secretly in love -- Jane begins to reexamine her "always-a-bridesmaid...." lifestyle.
Not a terrible film, just void of anything original or different.
Not too bad. I've seen worse romantic comedies. My favorite scene was when they were drunk in the bar.
It has its moments but it is in general disapointing.
