Probably should have stayed a cartoon though.

Full review to come.
THE ORIGINAL SURELY IS BETTER, BUT IT IS FUN WATCHING GLENN CLOSE HAVE A FIELD DAY IN THIS ONE. IT'S CREATIVE AND IMAGINATIVE. I ENJOYED IT. A FUN MOVIE.
What happens when you try to do a remake of a beloved animated disney film? You get an average run of the mill cash cow, and that's all this 101 Dalmations is, a cash cow, and a dissapointment to all who loved the original. It did have some humourous parts and if you're a die hard fan, you can rent it, but overall it's just nothing compared to the animated version.
The remade 101 Dalmatians is cute in its own right, but it does not compare to the animation by the same name. In fact, it is bland and not really memorable, except for the focus on evil Corella Deville and her streaky black and white hair. (She really *doesn't* have any fashion sense, does she?) In my opinion, it's a cute film, but it offers nothing more to the Dalmatian universe... maybe just a little less.
Glenn Close is great as Cruella and guys who play the crooks are good too. While nothing is as good as the original, this one comes close. Lots of comedy and fun story with believable characters. If you liked the original one, you'll like this one.

I can't even be bothered to give this a full review as it hurts my head to think about it.

Cruella DeVill (Glenn Close) tries to steal dalmation puppies for her new fur coat. Many animals try to stop her, etc etc.

Though there are funny moments, thats all this film has to offer. Remakes of cartoons into real life don't work. Period.

To sum up:

+ Mildly funny moments
- Uninspiring elsewhere.

I thought Glenn in the Cruella role was perfect.

The film lost me going on when all it turned out to be is her character getting messed up, dirty, etc.
Just lost me there.
