[...] probably because christian bail isnt batman That would make sense in two ways. Bale demanding a big paycheck and the studio not wanting to take the big risk because he isn't Batman. On the other hand, Superman as a first movie had a bigger budget than this one. Batman vs. Superman latest known budget = 131 million. Superman MoS = 225 Million Quite a difference. Probably has to do with the fact that the film is not set in numerous locations around the world like Man of Steel was and is instead completely localized in Michigan (even at $131mil it's still the biggest movie to ever be made there). It's also likely to have a little less CGI than Man of Steel (no need to make a whole other planet or completely wipe out a city but it's still made by Zack Snyder so...). [...] Sent you a PM to continue that discussion.[/quote] I see now, that makes sense. Thanks for that. I didn't know it was completely localized in Michigan.
@LeSamourai It is in some ways my favorite. "2 Men enter, one man leaves"...come on that's right up there with "I'll be back". Not to say it's a masterpiece but I think your score is tad too far in the other direction.
@RichieV It is based on a book by James Franco by the same name and it's where he grew up I believe. I expected more from this film and in a way it seemed very generic and monotone. It follows the lives of some troubled teens and the issues they face without delving into it. Nonetheless, it does have its good performances (here and there) and is a good watch for what it is.
maybe it's just me, but I'm so happy I didn't see the first one, cause this is in my opinion the most stupid movie sinds last century. what a waste of time. a fat 20 year old chick is responsible for the drugs supply at spring break ? c'm on ! 1/10
